What Should I know About my Body?
Knowing the parts of your body and their functions is an important part of being healthy. What if you don't know what's wrong you just know that you can't do something? For example, if you say my knee hurts...there are lots of different body parts that could be causing that such as a muscle not working right, your bone not working right or the joint not working right. Knowing the body parts and their function will help you explain something the next time you need to tell a parent or a doctor what it wrong.
The Basics
We all know that our eyes make us see, our noses make us smell, we taste with our mouths and so on.. But what do our bones do? What do our muscles do? Here's the most simple thing to remember about your bones and muscles; bones make it so you can stand and helps make sure that your body stays in the shape it needs to. Muscles help you be able to move. Without leg muscles we wouldn't be able to stand, bend, or do anything that requires movement. All parts of your body that you can move have a muscle in them somewhere.
